Axcil Jefferies will head to Bahrain this week to take part in the first race on the GP2 calendar in Bahrain on the 4th-6th of April.
As they did in the pre-season testing, Italian team Trident Motorsport will run Axcil Jefferies yet again.
“This is such a great opportunity for me and my country. It’s something I’ve been dreaming and focusing on for the last two years, so for it to finally become a reality is one of the best feelings! I obviously have goals heading into the weekend, but ultimately I aim to learn as much as possible and soak up all the new experiences that are involved in the GP2 Series. I’m confident we will get something in place for the full season! I would like to express my gratitude to Trident Motorsport for all they have done to assist in making this happen”, said Jefferies.
The GP2 series will act as a support race to the FIA Formula 1 World Championship this weekend in Bahrain. There will be one 45-minute practice session and a 45 minute Qualifying session, followed by the first race on Saturday and the second on Sunday.
